Lincoln Larson
Lincoln Larson, a doctoral candidate in the Warnell School of Forestry & Natural Resources, focuses on the human dimension of conservation and natural resource management. His research with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources is part of one of the largest studies of state parks completed in the United States. EDIT 7990: Information Access & Research [Call #00-503] is a new class being offered this fall to help graduate students better understand and organize sources of information for conducting research. The course will be taught by Dr. Christa Deissler of Learning, Design, & Technology with the cooperation of UGA librarians.

The GSPS 4th Annual Research Day will be held Friday, May 25 in the Pharmacy South Building from 9AM to 5PM. All graduate students, postdocs, and faculty are invited to attend. Dr. Lisa Hensley, Director of Regulatory Science, Medical Science Countermeasures Initiative (MCMi) at the FDA will present the keynote at 4PM.

Researchers in the University of Georgia College of Education are currently seeking third- and fifth-grade classroom teachers to participate in the second cohort of their Instructional Conversation teaching strategy study, which is part of a $2.9 million grant aimed at improving the academic achievement of English language learners in upper elementary grades.
